ANDREW LANYON studied at the London School of Film Technique.

      An early interest in conjuring and photography let to photomontage, collage, film, painting and writing. He originated ArtFi.

      His 'Hollow Books' have been exhibited at Liberty's in London and at the Tate in St. Ives. He has written and illustrated several books based on the character Walter Rowley and there are more to come. He has written four books on Cornwall, several on early photography and four on the work of his father, Peter Lanyon.

Since the 1960s he has held solo shows of photography and then painting; several paintings are now in public collections. His large constructed exhibition The Rooks of Trelawne is on permanent display in the St Ives Museum.

      His images enhance the limited edition book of poems, Open To The Weather, published by Cargo Press.
